Here at Tortoise Guitar our interest is to provide you with helpful information for learning to play guitar.

As this is a site that has memberships and products for sale there are some things you should know.

Cookies:

We use cookies to track visitors, memberships and products. These cookies never pass any information on to other websites or individuals. None of the information is shared in any way. They are only used here to provide access for your memberships or products or to enable us to learn how to organize the layout of this site to make things better and easier for our visitors and members.

Cookies never contain any of your personal information – no email addresses, credit card details, or anything else like that is stored in these cookies. They are only used to track member access, products and visits to the site. All information is anonymous.

Credit Card Details:

No credit card details are ever taken, or stored on this website. All our products and memberships are paid through PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, or use PayPal to pay by credit card, PayPal will store those details in your own fully encrypted 100% secure PayPal account. If you purchase products from Tortoise Guitar they will be paid for via PayPal whether you have a PayPal account or not. (Membership products that incur a monthly subscription require you to have a PayPal account.) If you do not have a PayPal account, your personal details and credit card information will not be kept by PayPal, or be recorded.

Just to clarify… Tortoise Guitar does not collect or store any credit card information at all. Ever.

Email Address and Personal Details:

If you become a member of this site, or purchase products from this site, we will keep records of your name and email address. This is so we can provide you with login facilities to access your products or memberships. And to send out timely emails to you regarding updates to Tortoise Guitar and/or to your products/memberships. We'll also send out other emails from time to time with information you may be interested in.

We never share your personal details or email address with any other services, ever. We will never spam you, or send unsolicited junk-mail. We also provide an unsubscribe link in all emails we send out to you. That means if you don't want to hear from us any more, all you need to is click the unsubscribe link.

Login and Passwords:

When you create a password for this site your password is fully encrypted. No one can access your password or find out what it is. Not even the admin of this site. If you forget your password, you can have it reset to create a new one.

The only information stored on this site is your name, email address, username and password, and the relevant details of products/memberships you have purchased. And as mentioned, your password is fully encrypted and cannot be viewed or retrieved by anyone.
