Tuning a guitar is a very tricky job for beginners. You actually need to have good ears to tune a guitar properly. And your guitar has to have good intonation to get good tuning along the entire fretboard. If not, the higher along the neck you play, the more out of tune your guitar will be. And nothing sounds as bad as someone playing a badly out of tune guitar. Ouch!!
