FD Starter Pack
Hi , this is your Starter Pack download page.
Please read this entire page – it's VERY important! And make sure you subscribe to RSS by Email (see bottom of this page).
Here's a video showing how to download and unzip your lesson files. Click the picture below to start the video.
Here are your zip files for the FD Starter Pack (5 zip files)
The Starter Pack includes several pdf's. Welcome letter, Guitar Chord Secrets, Fretboard Notes, Blank chord, fretboard and chord grids, a practice schedule sheet to keep track of your goals, and a 'Perfect Practice Makes Perfect' poster to pin on your wall in your practice room.
Here are your 4 Foundation Technique lesson downloads
This lesson shows you how to train your hands and fingers to develop a good basic technique. To be able to play chords, scales, licks etc in a relaxed effortless style… mistake-free! Learn to train your hands to play perfect guitar on auto-pilot.
Keeping good time is the most important skill you can develop as a musician. Speed isn't everything. In fact, it is just as difficult to play slowly and keep good time as it is to play faster. You need to have a system that programs your brain to know how to keep perfect time. Over time, you 'internalize' good time and it becomes automatic. Here's the best way to get it and keep it.
Basic strumming and picking technique – sets you up for playing without limitations and without the bad habits most beginners develop. Getting this right makes playing guitar a hell of a lot easier!
Guitar Chord Secrets
You will note the 'Guitar Chord secrets' pdf in the Starter Pack. This ebook is the basic music theory we are working with in your FD Lessons. Most of your theory questions will be answered in that eBook. So please take your time to read it thoroughly as many times as required so you get a good basic understanding.
I will be making a series of videos about this theory. These will be in a separate section. You will find this section under the 'Guitar Video Lessons' menu. You'll see a 'Guitar Theory' link.
Questions & Bonuses
You will note with each module there is a page for Questions about the lessons for that module. If you have any questions, please ask them there. I will make extra videos to answer the questions and put them on the Bonus page for each module. Please make sure your questions relate specifically to the lessons in that particular module.
Play that guitar…
In the end, , the important thing is that you learn to use and apply the concepts I am showing you. Get them under your fingers. Even if you don't quite understand something, your ears will tell you what sounds good and what doesn't. So play, play, play that guitar as much as you can every day.
Note for Beginners
You may find the lessons get ahead of you. Don't worry about it. They are designed for you to work at your own pace. So just archive them on your computer and get to them as you can. Don't feel you have to complete each lesson in a week. Some lessons require longer than that. Just take your time and enjoy what you are doing. There's no big rush.
Fretboard Domination is not really a 'beginners' learn guitar course. Not in the traditional sense. FD is more in-depth and goes under the hood more. You still need to learn other basic skills too, such as learn to read tab and music notation, play simple songs etc.
This is why, if you are a complete newbie, I suggest you buy a decent guitar course to work with alongside FD. There are many suitable courses about but the one I recommend – Learn and Master Guitar – is the very best I have come across and is very reasonable at just $199. Click here to check it out.
Note for Intermediate Players
It is difficult to cater to everyone right from the start. Because of this you may find the first couple of modules are going too slow for you. But I am sure even you will find some great tips and ideas you can apply for immediate improvement in your knowledge and your playing. So be patient and take your time too. There will plenty for you to get your teeth into as we progress along our journey of mastering the basics.

You should also subscribe to this RSS by Email service. This is provided by Google's 'Feedburner' service and will automatically notify you when I add new content to this site. That way, you will know when bonus lessons are added and when I add other stuff that may be of interest to you.
