Beginner Guitar Technique
Most beginners don't realize the importance of developing a good guitar playing technique right from the start. Because of this they often develop bad habits which badly affects their sound and limits their ability to progress to more difficult techniques.
Further, once a bad habit is learned and deeply ingrained into your muscle-memory system, it is extremely difficult to correct at a later date, and that's if it's possible to fix at all.
These bad habits mostly go unnoticed and any bad sound and playing difficulties get blamed on something else. For example, you may say something like "I'm just not cut out for playing guitar", or, "My fingers are the wrong shape for playing guitar" etc.
Well, the good news is that if you are aware of these likely problems before you start learning then you can avoid them altogether.
You can read more about this important topic and watch a video on the beginner guitar technique page.
