The I, V, vi, IV Chord Progression

0

This video demonstrates the concept of how common chord progressions are used for many hundreds of songs.

The I, V, vi, IV progression here has been used for many hit songs. Perhaps you could write the next hit using this progression?

NOTE: These are all demonstrated in the same key – E Major. The original songs are in different keys.

There are some songs towards the end where the progression has been rearranged to be vi, IV, I, V. Same four chords and same order or repetition, just starting on the vi instead of the I.

Grab your guitar and play along… the chords are: E, B, C#m, A. Then swapped to C#m, A, E, B at the changeover.
